“The Ballad of a Bard gave me all the feels. I was laughing, crying, screaming, swooning. This book quickly became a beautiful love story full of twists and turns, and tension and affection.
Crimson and West have the most beautiful relationship. I was on the edge of my seat for the last half of this book! I could not wait to see what happened to our two main characters.
You just fall in love with these characters and the villains are just so deliciously written.
Definitely a wonderful read!”

“She never fails to impress! I now have to wait for Book 3!
This author knows how to place you in a world and feel like you are living it! 5 stars, if I could give more I would!”

— Lyha T. (The Broken Kingdoms Books)

“This was shockingly addicting. I say that because this book only fell on my radar because I was going through trying to find indie authors that had new releases in March and I found this one. The author reached out and asked if I wanted an e-copy and I was like yes! I flew through this book! It had yearning, assassins, royals, kidnapped princess, a love triangle which usually I hate but this one is good! Team Castil. It's also got some cool fantasy elements like the fighting scenes and giant spiders they have to battle!

I have recently been disappointed in writing styles lately and just wonder if authors are even editing their books before pushing them out... this is not like that. It was very much a breath of fresh air that there were no weird plot holes and no choppy writing!”

“Ugh, I'm in love with this series! E.D. Lee has a way of writing that is so poetic and so emotionally grabbing you just sink right into the characters hearts.”

— Mary W. (The Broken Kingdoms Books)

“I am TELLING you, E. D. Lee puts drugs in her books. The way I devoured this book. It was like ACOTAR vs ACOMAF. Meaning, you read book one and you're like "ooo this is good can't wait to see what happens." then BAM. Book 2 is your whole personality now. Book 2, nothing can beat.
I could not put it down. The absolute trauma these characters go through, the YEARNING, the “I’ll destroy all for you”, the absolute hate to love, assassins, royalty, paving your own path forward, the claiming, the angst.

I don’t want to give too much away in book two because A LOT happens but Vera’s character growth explodes in this book. It’s her finally realizing what she’s worth and what she wants. Same with Castil (He WILL be protected!!). Ella also adds a trauma/ trauma response that not a lot of authors cover and it’s done well.

Let me just leave you with these quotes:
“I will either have all of you, or I will have none of you. But I will not have a piece of you.”

“You’re mine, Nightingale.” He murmured and kissed her harder. “If you want to be mine for all eternity, then I will never claim another.”

— Lauren J. (The Broken Kingdoms Books)

“This book is NOT lacking anywhere else. It’s twisty with some spice. It was predictable in some areas but honestly? I love being right 🤣

Ella describes things so well and so clearly that I can vision it perfectly. If you enjoyed ACOTAR, I think you’d enjoy this series.

But, all in all,

WHY ELLA? Why did we have to end the way we did with this book 😭😭😭. I have too many books on my list to be adding 4 other books. It makes me want to start the next one right away. I both love and hate the author for that! 🤣

Anyway, off to tend to the life I have been ignoring because I was sucked into the last 40% of this book and read it in one sitting…. Oops..”

— Sierra (The Frosted Fae Series)

“Wow this book had me in a hold once I fully started reading I did not put it down! 5/5 this was hands down fantastic I loved the world. The characters. The love story. The family storyline ! Oh my gosh all it was hands down an amazing read and there was spice as well which I’m always here for. I can’t wait to see where this world unfolds too with her next series because man what an amazing read! Please go read, you won’t regret it! 😆”

— Katelyn D. (The Ballad of a Bard)

“Wow, what a beautiful world to immerse yourself into. I love that this story is light and playful but also heavy at the same time. Ever and Eris are such a delight to read.

However, this book may or may not rip your heart to SHREDS.”

— Violet R. (The Oakwood Throne Trilogy)
